The ultimate goal of the How I See You project is to break cultural barriers and foster a peaceful dialogue between youth from various backgrounds. Encouraging youth to keep an open-minded perspective, accept and respect others, despite any differences.
Adapting to the rapid development in technology and the limitations caused by COVID-19, we relied on digital means to implement our objectives. That’s why the How I See You project promotes cross-cultural digital dialogue, giving youth the opportunity to express their thoughts and values.
The workshops in Egypt, gathered various participants to meet and share their thoughts, emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion. Additionally, the significance of sharing our opinions, which supports youth to lead positive change in their communities. This is a huge milestone towards fostering inclusion and diversity!
How I See You project carried out local workshops guiding youth towards effective use of digital platforms, to communicate and speak up, yet be able to create their own digital content. Eventually, we held a sum-up meeting to present results and share learned lessons. It was great to meet the participants from Spain, Poland, Egypt, and Jordan, proving a successful implementation of the project.
Each individual has the right to express their thoughts and perspectives, we might be different, yet respecting differences is unnegotiable. It is our responsibility to ensure everyone is heard and prevent individual differences from being an obstacle. We work to preserve a vital humanitarian right; freedom of speech.
