The Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (JYIF) proudly supported the participation of a new group of young Jordanian changemakers in the ITC2 PHOENIX: Youth Work for Gender Awareness in the Euro-Mediterranean Context training, held from 4–10 November 2024 in Agdz, Morocco.
Hosted in the serene landscapes of the Drâa Valley, the training brought together youth workers and educators from across the Euro-Med region to explore new tools and methodologies for advancing gender equity, strengthening youth engagement, and promoting social inclusion. Participants took part in intensive workshops, cultural exchanges, and hands-on learning experiences that broadened their understanding of gender-sensitive youth work.

Representing JYIF, our participants immersed themselves in the program’s rich learning journey—strengthening their skills, building international networks, and bringing home new insights to support community-based youth initiatives in Jordan.

“Being in Agdz was a turning point for me. I learned how gender awareness is not just a theoretical concept but a practice we bring into our daily work with youth. The diversity of the group, the facilitators, and the Moroccan culture all added depth to my learning experience.”
“This training gave me a new understanding of how youth work can truly drive social change. The sessions were eye-opening, and I felt empowered to bring back practical tools that I can apply in my community. Morocco’s hospitality made the journey even more meaningful.”
Beyond the formal sessions, our participants had the chance to explore the beauty of Agdz—from its ancient palm groves to the quiet charm of its traditional riads. Cultural evenings, shared meals, and intercultural dialogue created strong bonds among participants and enriched the overall learning atmosphere.
JYIF remains committed to empowering young people across Jordan by engaging them in impactful international learning opportunities. Our participation in ITC2 PHOENIX reflects our continued dedication to promoting gender equity, youth leadership, and collaborative growth within the Euro-Mediterranean region.
