On December 7th, 2023, the Ayas Hotel buzzed with the energy of ambition and hope as JYIF’s Ready for Tomorrow project hosted a powerful networking event. Bringing together young minds, seasoned industry experts, and dedicated partners, the evening tackled the challenges and unlocked the vast potential of youth employment in Jordan.
1. Facing the Challenges Head-On: The Networking Event started with a compelling discussion on employability challenges in Jordan. Led by Dana Al Hasan, a career coaching and HR and talent Expert, in which she delved into critical employment issues and explored strategies to tackle unemployment in Jordan. The discussion was not just informative but also engaging, with the youth actively participating, sharing their stories, and suggesting practical ways to overcome these challenges.
2. Career Development Booths: Following the employability discussion, ten booths were set up, each offering valuable experiences for young individuals. These booths encompassed job interview simulations, career coaching sessions, assistance in building LinkedIn profiles, a professional photo booth, and diverse training sessions focused on improving overall employment readiness. Guided by industry experts and private sector representatives, these booths provided youth with invaluable insights into employment, self-development, and numerous opportunities for career and professional advancement.
3. Networking Your Way to Success: The event wasn’t just about learning, it was about connecting. Youth had the chance to connect and network with each other and industry experts, building valuable relationships and forming connections that could open doors to future opportunities.
