JYIF had the pleasure to be part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, Annual Meeting 2023 that took place in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, between the 10th and 13th of May 2023.
This remarkable event celebrated the winners of the ISFD grant under TADAMON Accelerator Program. JYIF was invited to take part in this ceremony as a winner of the Tadamon accelerator program and also as one of the top CSOs to take part in the panel discussion on the theme: “Combating Poverty Through Solidarity, Alliances, and Partnerships”, to share the organization’s experience, challenges and impact of implemented projects in combating poverty.
The session was organized in the presence of high-level speakers from the Islamic Development Bank, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center of Saudi Arabia, Education Above All of Qatar, AL Rajhi Development Foundation of Saudi Arabia, and the National Center for Non-Profit Sector of Saudi Arabia.
Afaq Project:
We are proud to announce that the Afaq project, our latest initiative aimed at building digital capacity for youth and onboarding them on freelancing online platforms, has received the prestigious ISFD grant under the TADAMON Accelerator Program. At the CSOs Fighting Poverty One Community at a Time in The #ISFD Poverty Alleviation Forum, JYIF alongside six other outstanding Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) were selected to showcase their projects. Aya Hrout, the Program Director of JYIF, represented our organization with distinction. And had the opportunity to showcase the tremendous progress achieved by the Afaq project in improving conditions in hard-to-reach communities and uplifting underprivileged societies.
