History

Jordan Youth Innovation Forum was founded and registered officially by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture in 2007. In 2004 the idea of the Forum first started in the minds of motivated and ambitious youth who were inspired by their experience in international voluntary work and had the desire to influence youth in Jordan positively.

JYIF was accredited as a "sending and receiving" organization by the Erasmus+ program which is valid until 2027. Additionally, JYIF was a member of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF-DC) and Anna Lindh Foundation. As well as associating with the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) in Seoul, Korea.

JYIF became a board member of the ICYF-DC representing Jordan. Additionally, JYIF became a peace ambassador for the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) with active participation in the World Alliance of Religions for Peace (WARP) meetings.

JYIF has sent more than 1500 young Jordanians on over 160 Erasmus+ projects by this point. JYIF earned the Quality label for Volunteering from European Solidarity Corps (ESC).

JYIF launched its first incubation program, facilitating entrepreneurship opportunities for youth. The project has been selected as one of the 29 shortlisted of more than 300 entries worldwide to Awards Beyond Sport Global Awards 2019 in the "Sport for Decent Work and Economic Growth Award" category.

JYIF earned the Quality label for Volunteering from European Solidarity Corps (ESC). Moreover, by 2020, more than 40,000 kids participated in the held free sports activities, and 250 young volunteers were engaged in our projects.
