Welcome to the Tamasok Project’s Online Resource Hub
The Tamasok Project, led by JYIF, is committed to promoting gender equality and the prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Jordan. This platform serves as a comprehensive resource center designed to provide training materials, research, legal guidance, and success stories to support organizations, youth workers, and advocates working towards a gender-equal society.
The efforts of the Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (JYIF) come as part of the Tamasok Programme, implemented by Chemonics UK in partnership with Generations For Peace (GFP) and funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The programme aligns with JONAP-II (2022–2025) to support the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) in Jordan. Operating across all 12 governorates, Tamasok has played a critical role in empowering women, supporting civil peace, and fostering gender-sensitive policy development.
Our Mission
The Tamasok Project aligns with the Jordanian National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (JONAP-II) and the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325), aiming to enhance women’s participation in decision-making processes, prevent gender-based violence, and promote gender equality through structured interventions and educational initiatives.
Our mission is to:
Strengthen Institutional Capacities: Support organizations and youth-led initiatives in integrating gender-sensitive policies and practices within their operations.
Advance Gender Equality and Women’s Participation: Increase awareness and equip stakeholders with the tools to foster a more inclusive society.
Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence: Provide comprehensive resources, policy advocacy, and educational materials to mitigate GBV and empower survivors.
Promote Gender-Responsive Relief and Recovery Efforts: Ensure that women and girls have access to essential services, vocational training, and leadership opportunities.
Foster Policy and Legal Advocacy: Advocate for policy reforms that protect women’s rights and strengthen legal frameworks to prevent discrimination and violence.
These efforts contribute to JONAP-II’s four key pillars:
Participation & Representation – Ensuring women’s active role in leadership, decision-making, and peacebuilding.
Prevention & Protection – Strengthening policies and mechanisms to prevent GBV and enhance women’s safety.
Relief & Recovery – Expanding access to legal aid, mental health services, and economic empowerment programs.
Promoting Gender Equality through Education & Media – Increasing awareness through formal and informal education, training programs, and public discourse.
Through these initiatives, the Tamasok Project aims to create a sustainable impact, empowering individuals and institutions to champion gender equality and safeguard women’s rights in Jordan.

Our research-driven materials and training manuals have been carefully developed to provide practical tools for youth workers, educators, and policymakers. These resources incorporate contributions from Harvard and Stanford University researchers, as well as insights from local advocacy groups.
