In 2025, JYIF proudly returned to Sinop with renewed passion — building on the success and emotional power of the previous year. The second SEAL mobility brought both continuity and growth.
Reconnecting With a Purpose
Many returning actors — mentors, instructors, and local stakeholders — remembered the Jordanian participants from the previous year. This familiarity allowed for:
Faster integration
More advanced discussions
Deeper emotional connection to the mission
Diving with Confidence and Mission
This time, the volunteers were more prepared and more aware of:
The technical diving procedures
The significance of documenting underwater waste
The responsibility of being environmental advocates
Diving was not only a technical task — it was an emotional journey. Every piece of waste lifted from the seafloor felt like a small act of justice.
Art and Environmental Storytelling
The 2025 mobility placed stronger emphasis on:
Installation art,
Visual storytelling,
And narrative expression.
Artist volunteers worked with natural wood, shells, scrap metals, fabric, and recycled materials to build powerful, haunting art pieces that illustrated the “silent crying” of the sea.
One sculpture — resembling a seal surrounded by plastic nooses — became the emotional center of the exhibition. Visitors wept.
Community Conversations
This year’s public exhibition included:
Open conversation circles
Talks with local fishermen
Youth-led storytelling sessions
Many locals said they had never realized how much the pollution beneath the surface had grown.
International Bonds Strengthened
Youth discovered a shared identity: Not defined by nationality — but by responsibility.
They left this mobility calling themselves:
“Guardians of the Sea, no matter which sea we stand beside.”
