The project “Generative AI – Youth Sector Challenges and Impact” officially started with the aim of strengthening the capacity of youth organisations and youth workers to address online hate speech, discrimination, and information disorder in an increasingly AI-driven digital environment.
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming how young people access information, communicate, and form opinions. While AI offers powerful opportunities for innovation, inclusion, and participation, it also poses serious risks such as algorithmic bias, misinformation, manipulation, and the amplification of hate speech. Young people—especially those from vulnerable or marginalised groups—are among the most exposed to these risks.
This project responds to these challenges by positioning AI as a tool for democracy, peace, and social inclusion, rather than as a threat.
