JYIF is happy to announce its new project ‘Youth-led Street Sports for All’ in collaboration with GAME. GAME is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) based in Denmark working towards social change. They do this by organising street sports particularly in the more marginalized neighbourhoods of, first, Denmark, then Lebanon, Somaliland and now Jordan. The partnership will be for four years first and is funded by the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme.
By the end of March, the project will be kicked off with a Playmaker Camp where young volunteers (so-called Playmakers) will be receiving proper training, enabling them to lead sport’s practices. The practices will be held in different places across Jordan, namely: Amman, Mafraq and Ramtha. JYIF is glad to share that 88 motivated young Jordanians have already signed up to start making a difference in their communities.
JYIF is looking forward to the coming four years with great enthusiasm. JYIF team feels confident that by joining forces with GAME, JYIF will reach many children who would otherwise have less access to street sports.
