The SAMIM project in Jordan isn’t just about funding; it’s about building a lasting difference. That’s why as a support structure, JYIF was committed to providing intensive training sessions to the first cycle’s winning Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
Led by our program director, Aya Al Hrout, and innovation and entrepreneurship director, Tasneem Bsharat, this capacity-building phase saw a series of 10 comprehensive sessions designed to equip CSOs with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
The training sessions encompassed a diverse range of topics critical to the success of the CSOs’ initiatives. From conceptualizing and organizing income-generating activities, project management, formulating business models, conflict resolution, conducting awareness-raising campaigns, and impact assessment, to composing compelling proposals, and mastering communication tools for effective outreach, the sessions aimed to provide comprehensive insights. The goal was to empower these organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary to create a lasting impact within their communities.
In our commitment to delivering high-quality training, we enlisted the expertise of Mr. Momen Salam. An authority in proposal writing and program development, Mr. Salam shared valuable insights during a dedicated session. The CSOs had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of analyzing calls for projects, constructing robust proposals aligned with specific calls, and developing budgets consistent with the technical proposals of their projects.
Through the Samim program, our objective is clear – to create a sustainable impact. By providing financial support and building the capacity of first-cycle CSO winners, we aim to empower these organizations to be effective agents of positive change in their communities.
As we conclude this phase of capacity-building, we look forward to witnessing the transformative impact these empowered CSOs will have on their communities. JYIF remains dedicated to supporting and fostering initiatives that drive positive change and contribute to the betterment of society. Stay tuned for more updates on the inspiring journey of the Samim project.
