Samim Project is on a mission to empower CSOs in Jordan to build more sustainable cities! Recently, JYIF hosted two information sessions about Samim project, both offline and online, to shed light on Samim’s second cycle and inspire interested organizations to join the movement.
The Ayass Hotel buzzed with energy as JYIf brought together a diverse group: first-cycle Samim winners, eager CSOs/NGOs eyeing the second cycle, representatives from the French Development Agency, and the French Embassy in Jordan. The atmosphere was electrifying, and packed with knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities.
The event kicked off with an informative session delving into Samim’s second cycle – eligibility criteria, project specifics, funding terms, and timelines. This was followed by a captivating panel discussion titled “Increasing Youth Active Participation towards More Sustainable Cities.” The first-cycle winners took center stage, sharing their invaluable experiences and insights on how youth can drive positive change in their communities.
Spreading the word far and wide, JYIf hosted a second information session online via Zoom, broadcast live on Facebook. This session served as a virtual forum for interested CSOs/NGOs to learn more about Samim, ask questions, and get clarity on their potential involvement in the second cycle.
Both sessions proved immensely successful, igniting enthusiasm and equipping potential applicants with the knowledge they need to craft impactful proposals. The interaction between first-cycle winners and aspiring organizations fostered a vibrant network of passionate changemakers, united in their quest for a more sustainable future for Jordan’s cities.
