JYIF attended the Community of Practice (CoP) meeting on the 17th of July, where we discussed the research results regarding the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in Jordan. The meeting included a comprehensive presentation of the findings and recommendations from the multi-domain gender and conflict analysis (MDGCA) study conducted by the Politics and Society Institute (PSI). Led by the former Minister of Youth, Muhammad Abu Roman, the discussion provided valuable insights into the research outcomes and their implications for policy and practice in Jordan. Abu Roman’s leadership in guiding the dialogue ensured a focused conversation on how these findings could influence future strategies and actions to enhance the implementation of the WPS agenda in Jordan.
Tamasok Meeting’s Role in Jordan’s WPS Agenda :
Tamasok meeting is set to play a pivotal role in advancing the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda in Jordan. This important gathering focuses on empowering women-led organizations and civil society organizations (CSOs) dedicated to promoting peace and security. Spearheaded by the Politics and Society Institute (PSI), the meeting will also delve into the findings of the MDGCA study, which aims to bolster the efforts of these organizations. By addressing the identified challenges and leveraging the opportunities presented by the study, the Tamasok meeting aims to create a more inclusive and effective framework for implementing the WPS agenda. The meeting will facilitate capacity building, resource allocation, and strategic planning, ensuring that the voices of women and CSOs are central to peace and security efforts in Jordan.
Also Tamasok meeting is designed to foster collaboration and networking among key stakeholders, including policymakers, CSOs, and community leaders. By creating a platform for dialogue and exchange, the meeting will help build stronger partnerships and promote a shared understanding of the WPS agenda’s critical importance. The insights gained from the MDGCA study will guide these discussions, providing a data-driven foundation for decision-making and advocacy.
