The Tamasok project, implemented by Chemonics UK in partnership with Generations for Peace (GFP) and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), is dedicated to empowering women and fostering peace and security through community engagement. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to promoting gender equity and creating meaningful change in Jordanian society.
TAMASOK aims to enhance both participation and capacity of Women Rights, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in the field of Women, Peace, and Security (WPS). It also aims to support organizations in achieving the goals of the four pillars of the Jordanian National Action Plan (JONAP-2) and advancing the WPS agenda in Jordan. The project seeks to create a robust support system for civil society, enabling them to effectively advocate for women’s rights, peace, and security, despite the challenging environment in which they operate.
TAMASOK addresses Youth, particularly young women and refugees .
