The EUSEEDS project (Enable, Upgrade and Spread Employability, Entrepreneurship and Digital Skills) has officially launched with a kick-off meeting held in Lebanon, marking the beginning of a new regional cooperation aimed at empowering youth across the Eastern Mediterranean.

The kick-off meeting brought together project partners and key stakeholders to align on the project’s vision, objectives, governance structure, and implementation roadmap. During the meeting, partners discussed the shared challenges facing young people in the region—particularly the mismatch between higher education and labor market needs—and explored how EUSEEDS will respond through innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.

EUSEEDS aims to strengthen employability, entrepreneurship, and digital skills by establishing and upgrading university-based resource centers that will serve students, young graduates, and vulnerable groups. Through these centers, the project will deliver high-quality training, foster self-entrepreneurship, and promote stronger links between academia and the labor market. The transnational nature of the partnership ensures knowledge exchange, mutual learning, and long-term regional impact.
The kick-off meeting also set the foundation for effective collaboration among partners, clarified roles and responsibilities, and outlined the next steps for the initial implementation phase. This first milestone reflects the strong commitment of all partners to jointly contribute to a more inclusive, skilled, and resilient youth ecosystem in the region.
The EUSEEDS project is coordinated by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and funded by the Interreg NEXT MED Programme of the European Union.
