Title: Legalize Youth Dreams (LYD)
Duration: 31 months (October 2025 – April 2028)
Location: France, Sweden, Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt
Donor: European Union (Erasmus+ Programme)
For years, youth organizations across Europe and the Mediterranean have worked to support young people in becoming active members of their communities. From local volunteering initiatives to youth-led community projects, the energy and creativity of young people have driven positive change in countless towns and cities. However, many of these initiatives struggle to find lasting support, and too often, young voices go unheard by those in positions of influence.
Recognizing that nurturing youth participation is essential for building stronger, more connected communities, the European Union has made it a top priority. Building on this commitment, the Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (JYIF) is proud to announce our participation in the Legalize Youth Dreams (LYD) project.
At its core, LYD aims to strengthen the skills of youth organizations in supporting young people’s civic initiatives. The project focuses on three interconnected areas:
LYD is driven by a clear set of objectives aimed at creating lasting change for young people and the organizations that serve them:
This project aims to transform how youth organizations operate and how communities perceive young people’s potential. Through local research, transnational exchanges, and the co-creation of practical resources, LYD will provide lasting support for youth engagement. The ultimate goal is to turn ideas into action, aspirations into projects, and young people’s dreams into tangible realities that benefit entire communities.
LYD will utilize dynamic non-formal education methodologies, emphasizing hands-on learning and peer-to-peer exchange. The project remains adaptable, tailoring its methods to meet the diverse needs of participants and foster a cohesive, inclusive environment across five very different countries.
Legalize Youth Dreams symbolizes a shared commitment to empowering young people across Europe and the Mediterranean. At JYIF, we are proud to stand alongside our partners on this transformative journey. Together, we are helping young people turn their dreams into reality.
The strength of LYD lies in its diverse and committed partnership: Maison de l’Europe des Landes WIPSEE (France) – Kooperativet Fjallet (Sweden) – YoGlow for training (Egypt) – Zarzis Nouvelles Visions (Tunisia) – Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (Jordan)
